Call Of Duty: Extraterrestrial Ops/Wars OR Hunt For Hitler

Activision New Product Idea

Submitted 2 years ago

This would be regarding new product ideas for the Call of Duty franchise. Nowadays people have been getting tired with the new call of duty ideas. Stuff based on real events was usually the best. Black Ops was great because it added an element of mystery and surprise to science and conspiracy theories related to the JFK assassination. On top of that, I believe no other game had told a story of the relations in this event.

Here is a bold idea for you. There's a conspiracy theory on an event that occurred in 1990s under the deserts of Dulce, New Mexico, USA. The Dulce War was a conspiracy theory event about a joint force of covert human U.S military forces alongside friendly extraterrestrial alien grays. They join the fight against another hostile alien gray race in the underground tunnels Dulce, New Mexico. Also imagine having some firefights in dark underground alien facilities and tunnels similar to the ratholes in Vietnam. I think this would be a good idea if research is done right between cross references in books and other sources, and also because this is something no game narrative has told bedsides books and whistleblowers.

Another completely different idea in a different timeline of 1945, could be mysteries of hunting Hitler. One example of the event could be related in Antarctica since there is a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding Antarctica. Theories were made that Hitler escaped to an underground hidden facility two months after WW2 ended. This area could prompt a fight sequence, between American and German forces. When German ships and military U-boats coursed their way to Argentina and near waters of Antarctica, a lot of suspicion was raised in both Russia and America.
Hitler's body was also never recovered, and America and Russia were both actively searching for him post-ww2. There are also theories that stated that Hitler was alive behind the scenes puppeteering German loyalist in creating tension between America and Russia, and sparked what was the Cold War.

From the eyes of a player and viewer, I think surprising and adding mystery and fear accompanying the action could really do wonders. The Chernobyl mission based on a real sniper from the Vietnam war was very interesting and added those emotional elements. By the way, everyone knows the stories of WW2 in the U.S by now. I would love to see something surprising like this, inspired or based off conspiracy theories and events. The ideas can even be slightly altered or used for a part of the story like how Black Ops did.

It seems as though call of duty are rather daring on storytelling and new ways to play the game, one example being Advanced Warfare. Personally my favorite games from the franchise was Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops and Call of Duty 4. However, I also enjoyed Black Ops 2, Cold War and Vanguard, because of its relation to real events. I hope Call of Duty's campaign storylines can make a comeback for players. Thank you for hearing me out, and I take no credit, nor am I interested in. My only interest is to pitch some ideas and improve the gameplay for everyone and to help you guys out! Stay safe.

PS: For Multiplayer, I think it should stay more or less the same or similar to what Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer was like. Variety in map designs was really fun. Using distant dust/fog/heat and camouflage was also great in Modern Warfare 2.
